News Updates                                                              news details

We Made It! (September 2nd)Exams behind us, Year 12 just ahead of us. It's a time of change, without and within... and big things are scheduled to happen to Eddie's Gallery in the very near future.

I'm Eddie (in case you were wondering). I run this little joint. It's here to share photos with you - have a peek into my life, and the lives of the people around me.

The idea of putting this place together was pretty simple. I own a digital camera (it's a little hobby of mine). I also have friends (gasp!). When these friends get into my camera (and you're quite likely to be in there somewhere if you're reading this), they usually tend to want to have a look at the product - especially if I capture a moment that people like to remember (quite often, I like to imagine). So, instead of emailing images to everyone individually - I've tried it, and even with CCs (carbon copies), it's kind of inconvenient - I've decided to put those images that people want here on this site.

Speaking of the site, it's modelled on the James Ruse ISCF website, which I also manage (it's a work in progress).

Last Stop For 200km... (August 16th) With prelims looming ahead, this will be my last update for at least a couple of weeks. So I've made it a good one.
(August 9th) After the disaster that was the Bismarck essay, and with the weekend ahead, I've decided to put up some Jedis for you. Five new ones, with my best sabers yet! And another update coming soon, with almost forty new photos!...
(August 7th) If you're here, you can see it. I've just done up the site a little nicer - hopefully I'll continue to do this as the site develops. It's meant to look less dodgy, & more professional.
I liked the (warm) colours, and the layout seemed appropriate enough, so I used it for this site too. By the way, I know the address is really corny, but my hope is that you'll find it easy to remember. And besides, I actually don't have a tripod, and gaining a steady hand is something that takes practice (something I haven't gotten a great amount of, yet). Now, I'll show you how to get around.

This site only has three pages on it. This page - the News section - the Gallery itself, and a section I've named 'Classics'. You'll notice that the last section is currently empty. I'll explain why in a second.

The News is... surprise surprise! any news that I have. It'll mostly be about website stuff - if something's updated, I'll tell you about it here. Do note that I'll occassionally add images to the Gallery or the Classics without posting news here, so keep your eyes open.

The Gallery is the main point of the site. Any pictures that are requested or I think are worth putting up here will go in the Gallery (further instructions are in The Gallery itself). The most important thing for me to mention is that you simply need to click on a thumbnail to open up the larger version.

The Map has replaced The Classics for now. It's... well, it's a map, of all the links to all the places on this site. There's stuff there that you can't see on the front page or on the menu. Head there frequently to keep on top of little page updates here and there.

I think that's everything. If you have any questions, complaints, requests, general banter or other stuff, drop me a line through email (manifold@soon.com)!

Enjoy,
- Ed

PS. Yes, that is my model of camera up there on the left. I plopped it on top of my scanner and there you have it!
